How to find the right size

  • Please ask a partner to take your measures. Stand relaxed; the measuring tape should fit closely to your body or your underwear.
  • Head clothing and helmets: The head measurement (in cm), measured at your forehead, determines your size. Headbands are only available in one size.
  • Compare your body measurements with the size charts below
  • Gloves for women/men: Measure your hand without thumb and over the knuckles. Surround your hand only loosely with the measuring tape. For hand measurements see chart.

Correct measurements made easy

  • Body height: Without shoes, from tip to toe, the easiest way is to lean against a door frame.
  • Chest measurement: Measure horizontally over the strongest point of your chest.
  • Waist measurement: Measure without traction around the waist.
  • Hip measurement: Surround your body with the measuring tape horizontally, at the strongest point of your buttocks.

European glove sizes are measured in old German inches. A German inch is 2.7 cm. So for size 9, the hand measurement would be 9 German inches or 24.3 cm. As for the children’s sizes, the ratio between hand measurement/finger length differs from the adult sizes, as children usually have shorter fingers and wider hands. This is why the usual European children’s sizes cannot be converted into the hand measurement by multiplying them with 2.7 cm.

WHICH TYRE WIDTH CAN I USE WITH WHICH RIM (INNER RIM WIDTH)?

The inner rim width is the distance between the rim sides and determines the minimum and maximum compatible tyre widths. These dimensions are incorporated into the ETRTO details on the rim - the format is always “622x21C”, with the 21 in front of the C indicating the inner rim width. If you can’t find any ETRTO measurements, you can instead use a sliding calliper to measure it yourself.
