SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission™ 12-Speed Rear Derailleur

With the mechanical Eagle 90 Transmission™ 12-speed rear derailleur, SRAM brings the advantages of the Direct Mount design to a precise and reliable, battery-free shifting solution.

Without a rechargeable battery, there is no need to charge or replace batteries – ideal for long tours and multi-day use. While electronic gears can fail due to running out of power, the mechanical version remains functional almost all the time. Shifting feels more intense, as every gear change is more noticeable – especially nice for fans of mechanical shifting.

For maximum durability, the cage unit and tension pulley are designed as separate modules. This makes it easy to carry out repairs without having to replace the entire rear derailleur.

As with the AXS electronic transmission, the Direct Mount design with the UDH standard also ensures improved stiffness and shifting precision, thanks to direct mounting on the frame. This eliminates potential weak points like the traditional derailleur hanger.

A robust, modern and maintenance-friendly mechanical shifting system for maximum performance without having to rely on a battery – ideal for riders looking for control and, above all, independence on their long expeditions and demanding adventures.

The prerequisite for mounting the rear derailleur is a UDH*-compatible frame! (*Universal Derailleur Hanger)
The installation itself is relatively simple and reduced to the essentials. However, it differs significantly from the installation of previous shifting systems. Therefore, please be sure to observe the operating & assembly instructions!
