The BIG APPLE Performance Line clincher tyre from Schwalbe has air suspension built right in, ensuring an amazingly comfortable ride.
The extra-wide balloon tyre has a more pronounced tread pattern, which extends its range of use. The RaceGuard puncture protection belt , in combination with the Addix compound, contributes to the tyre’s good durability. The BIG APPLE impressively disproves the preconception that wide tyres cost a lot of power.

Habe ein Rad damit auf Empfehlung gekauft, war anfangs skeptisch wegen Optik und Geschwindigkeit. Natürlich können sie in der Endgeschwindigkeit nicht mit Rennradreifen mithalten. Ich mache auf Touren mit Gepäck ca. 19-22 km/h Schnitt, was ganz ordentlich sein sollte denke ich.

+ Der große Vorteil der Reifen ist der Komfort und die Stabilität beim Geradeausfahren! Bei ca. 2 Bar ist ein guter Kompromiss aus Geschwindigkeit und Komfort erreicht, es macht dann einfach Spaß auch Wald oder Sandwege oder Schotter damit zu fahren.

- Nachteil ist natürlich Abzug in der Endgeschwindigkeit und evtl. etwas beim Beschleunigen und die Stabilität bei Sandigem Boden in der Kurve, besonders wenn es Abschüssig ist. Aber das kennt man irgendwann und bremst dann halt. Also für mich ist das kein Problem, bei normalen Reifen wird es dann auch irgendwann schwierig.

Zum Thema Platten, ich hatte mit einem älteren Modell gelegentlich einen Platten. Den aktuellen Reifen fahre ich seit einem Jahr, soweit keinen Platten. (ca. 2000-3000 km würde ich schätzen)

rollverhalten o.k., geringer verschleiss, erstaunlich pannensicher-deswegen eher auf der schweren "seite". gutes
preis/ leistungsverhältnis. fahre den satz auf einem 1994 kona hahanna
commuterumbau mit 3,0 bar vorne und 3,3 bar hinten... darunter rollt es dann doch zu zäh.

Als City-Reifen prima, aber schon für leichtes Gelände ungeeignet. Aufpassen! Der Reifen ist so dick, dass er nicht an jedes Rad (vor allem mit Schutzblechen) passt.
