MERINO WOOL:
Compared to traditional wool, Merino offers a particularly fine fibre. Because of the extreme weather conditions merino sheep are exposed to in nature, the wool has strong thermoregulation properties and is capable of wicking moisture away from the body particularly fast. Thus, it creates a warm protective layer for the entire body, even when wet. In contrast to traditional wool, merino wool is not scratchy even when wet. Thus, merino is perfect as a next-to-skin layer. Yet, merino wool is also ideal for warm summer days since its high breathability has a cooling effect. Thanks to its sun protection factor, high comfort, odour-inhibiting properties and fire resistance, merino wool is a very popular fibre.
ALPACA WOOL:
The wool of alpacas is characterised by excellent thermal insulation. The fine wool protects the animals from cold and also from heat, which is why clothing with alpaca wool is suitable for both hot and cold conditions. However, the fibre is particularly popular in winter clothing, where it unfolds its warming properties. Alpaca wool is also virtually pilling-free and particularly soft, making it pleasant on the skin.
