Atlantic Belt Drive Care Spray

Since the belt drive provides so many advantages for bicycles, regular maintenance should not be overlooked. ATLANTIC® belt care spray maintains the smooth running properties of belt drives in the long term and minimizes friction noise. At the same time, this care spray for toothed belts forms a preserving layer without leaving a oily-greasy residue, but which allows water to bead off. Dust and dirt won’t adhere as easily and the drive belt is protected from new contaminations. The ATLANTIC® tooth belt care product was developed together with leading manufacturers of belt drives and can therefore be recommended for all belt drives, such as Gartes Carbon Drive or the Conti CBD system.


Before using the maintenance spray, remove dirt from the belt teeth and the tooth profiles of both drive pulleys using a commercially available toothbrush or similar. Remove foreign bodies such as trapped twigs or small stones. If the belt is very dirty, use ATLANTIC® Complete Cleaner (prod. code: 2101394) or ATLANTIC® Bio Bike Cleaner (prod. code: 231712), which is rinsed off with plenty of water. After drying, apply the ATLANTIC® Belt Care Spray evenly to the cleaned running surface of the belt and allow to dry for two minutes. What remains is a clear protective layer that offers longterm protection for the drive belt from external influences.

Attention:
Incorrect belt tension or belt routing can cause squeaking and friction noises in the belt drive, which cannot be remedied with care products. In those cases, the belt should be adjusted correctly to counteract premature wear.
