With brake/shift lever combinations of the GRX 710 series, SHIMANO not only supports the 1x12-speed gravel drivetrains, but also cuts the cable connection to the rear derailleur, as it did with the road bike groupsets.
An integrated radio transmitter, powered by two CR1632 button cells, sends the shifting commands wirelessly to the rear derailleur. The complex cabling in the cockpit area with junction box and Bluetooth module is now a thing of the past. 

Thanks to the raised hoods, a textured surface and an anti-slip coating, the ergonomic brake lever offers outstanding security and control. Its design is ideal for flared handlebars, which are becoming increasingly popular in the gravel sector.

*Note: 
The J-Kit comes pre-filled and, thanks to the pre-installed olive, allows for easy cutting of the cables as well as cable routing inside the frame, too. Additional bleeding is therefore generally unnecessary.

The shift lever only supports wireless shifting! 
Wired installation is NOT supported. The existing SD300 E-Tube port is only intended for wired pairing and/or firmware updates!
