Schwalbe SHREDDA R GRAVITY PRO Radial MTB Folding Tyre ULTRA SOFT

The Schwalbe SHREDDA R mountain bike tyre is built as a specialised rear tyre for demanding downhill and enduro use and is aimed at all those who require maximum control even under extreme conditions. Its open, deep tread pattern is designed for wet and soft surfaces and is intended to enable reliable grip on the ground on technically demanding surfaces.

In terms of tread design, Schwalbe's developers have opted for an adapted lug layout with a slightly shallower tread depth than the SHREDDA F. This is intended to increase the stability of the lugs, while at the same time supporting high braking and propulsion traction on soft surfaces. The tread can play to its strengths particularly during acceleration and deceleration.

Schwalbe's ULTRA SOFT Compound is designed for maximum grip and high damping properties and is particularly suitable for demanding downhill and enduro use on changing and wet surfaces.

The rubber compound is complemented by the GRAVITY PRO construction in combination with a radial carcass. The carcass is designed for high loads and is intended to provide stability and puncture protection on demanding routes. The radial construction enables an increased contact surface and improved adaptation to the ground, which further supports grip, comfort and control.

Tip:
The SHREDDA was designed with a customised design and carcass structure for both the front and rear wheel. Schwalbe recommends combining the SHREDDA R with the SHREDDA F on the front wheel.
