Elite Square Smart Frame for Elite Roller Trainers

Square is a customisable frame with a virtual, configurable shifting that allows you to adopt the same riding position on your indoor trainer as you would on your bike on the road. When used in combination with a latest-generation Elite Direct Drive trainer and a standard cycling app, the Square Smart Frame enables you to enjoy efficient indoor training that is ergonomically very similar to riding outdoors.

This is partly down to the virtual gear system, which can be configured to change gears just like on your road bike, gravel bike or MTB. This allows 10- to 13-speed groupsets to be simulated realistically. The handlebar on Elite’s Smart frame features the same layout of levers and buttons as you’ll find on SHIMANO, SRAM or Campagnolo road and gravel bikes. Using the Elite Square app, you can select one of the 13 available presets and customise it in detail. This allows you to select, amongst other things, the number of gears, chainrings and teeth per sprocket and chainring. There are also buttons for controlling accessories such as the smart Elite Aria fan, or for the steering options in Zwift. 

But it is not just in the digital realm that the Square offers a wide range of options. The Smart Frame can also be physically adjusted to suit your needs precisely and individually. Whether it’s the position, height or angle of the saddle or handlebars, or the adjustment of the top tube and crank length. This allows you to transfer the seating position from your bike to the Square with millimetre precision. Clever: Thanks to the smooth-operating adjustment mechanisms, the frame can be quickly adapted to suit different people and body sizes.

Last but not least, Elite has also thought about how it works with your Elite Indoor Trainer. A belt drive system eliminates the noise produced by the chain and reduces vibrations, resulting in smooth running and impressively low noise levels. So you no longer need a cassette for your indoor trainer – a suitable adapter for the belt drive is included. What’s more, with a belt drive, you don’t have to worry about lubricating the drive, which makes it a thoroughly clean solution. Perfect for anyone who works out at home and shares living spaces.

Note:
The Elite Smart Frame is supplied partly assembled. To fit the gear adapter, you will also need a 24 mm open-end or ring spanner. If you want to remove the cassette from your existing roller trainer, you’ll also need additional tools, such as a chain whip and a sprocket puller.
